‘Twas the night before Dreamforce, and all through the city,
Attendees lay in their beds, feeling anxious and giddy.
Their devices were charged and packed up with care,
In hopes that the dawn soon would be there…
Before you hit the hay on Dreamforce Eve, make sure you’ve checked this list twice!
1. All your devices are charged or charging for the night.
This is probably second nature by now, but we all forget things from time to time. Especially before or after a day of travel. Just make sure all the devices you need for the next day are ready to go, including a battery pack in case you need a charge boost on the go.
2. Your meetings are confirmed and you have numbers for your contacts.
During every day of Dreamforce, your plans will be changing. Keep your calendar up to date so you can be flexible as things come up for your clients. Also, make sure their contact information in your phone so you can coordinate where to meet as the time approaches.
3. The Agenda Builder is downloaded, and you’re signed up for the sessions you want to attend.
Many sessions have limited space, so make sure you know the sessions you want to attend and are signed up on the Agenda Builder. Plus, you’ll need to know what buildings you’re going to across the Dreamforce campus. On Day 1, head straight to Moscone West for registration (and to get your awesome #DF19 swag!).
This is also where the larger speaker sessions are held. Across the street in Moscone South down the escalators is where you’ll find the Customer Success Expo. Remember these buildings not only as a point of reference but also because you’ll probably be spending most of your time in them.
4. Have your business casual clothes and extra comfy shoes ready to go.
The last thing you need is to stress about what you’re wearing in the morning. Get your outfit for Day one out of your suitcase, de-wrinkled, and ready for you to jump into and get a move on.
5. Mentally prepare yourself.
Whatever you need to do to feel ready to kill it for the week, take time to do it now. Meditate, practice your elevator pitch, double and triple check your schedule, look up something to do outside of the Dreamforce chaos, get to bed early. Another good thing to remember is to be direct in your conversations during Dreamforce so you can save yourself, and others, time.
Bonus 6. Don’t forget to check social media!
